A few weeks ago we celebrated Molly’s 3rd birthday. She adores Peppa Pig and for months she has been telling everyone that she is having a Peppa Pig party. So using the Creative Mummy Party Planner I put together a simple but fun Peppa Pig Party!
First things first are the invitations. I created the invitations on the Creative Memories Storybook Creator. Using my Cricut I cut a balloon and number three and I used twine for the string of the balloon.
Front Door Plaque
I simply enlarged the invite and removed the invitation details.
As Peppa Pig party supplies are minimal and basic. I decide to add my creative flair to the basic plastic Peppa Pig bunting. I took it apart removing the flags and using the Cricut I cut out pink scalloped bunting and attached the original flags to the pink card. I also used a nice ribbon to join the bunting together. A simple but effective hack!
I had a lot of fun creating this cake. A lot of Creative Mummy followers ask me how I make my birthday cakes. I will share all my tips and tricks in another post coming soon!
The Dessert Table
I wanted to create the Peppa Pig scene for the dessert table. I used a blue background as the sky, a sun and some clouds which I made using cardboard. The tree I had in Molly’s bedroom and the Peppa Pig play house which was a gift Molly got for Christmas.
Muddy Puddle Game
A clever spin on ‘Musical Chairs’ instead of using chairs I cut out some muddy puddles using brown cardboard. When the music stopped they had to find a ‘Muddy Puddle’ the child that didn’t find one was out. It was lots of fun!
The Party Favors
I was inspired from other party I had recently been to, to create a candy bar! My mum has a great collection of candy jars that I used. I bought an assortment of pink and white lollies from a variety of shops and some cute pink poke-a-dot candy bags from a discount shop. After we sang happy birthday I informed the parents that they could help their children to fill their candy bags! It’s was great! Not only did it save me time filling and creating party favor bags I didn’t feel the need to fill them with those silly party favors toys and let’s face it all the kids really want are the lollies!!! I will be doing this again!
It was a lovely day the weather was perfect and Molly’s had a great time!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOLLY!!!
