A very clever mum I know created these Busy Bags for her toddler. She prepared these bags when she was expecting her second child. So when her daughter came to visit her new baby sister in hospital she had something special to keep her busy. Thank you Rachael for allowing me to share.
Suitcase packed and waiting by the door and more importantly so too are Azalea’s daily themed packs in a desperate attempt to keep her out of mischief!!
I also I fill the bags weekly with ‘stuff’ for each days bag, then leave it at the end of Azalea’s bed each night and it gives me an extra half an hour in the morning when she finds it at the end of her bed and plays. Nothing new, just toys/books etc. When I go to restaurants, shops etc. I take that day’s bag with bits n pieces to keep her occupied. Later when she is older the plan is to find things starting with ‘m’ for Monday as well as other things she may be interested in.
I also have bags for each season too…. Plan is to collect things from that season from garden magazine etc when she’s older…
What a clever idea wouldn’t you agree!
What an awesome idea, and its a great way to remind kids what toys and books they actually have and make sure they all get used and played with 🙂
I know, I thought so too!
