Chocolate Brownies Recipe

I have to admit brownies and muffins are the two deserts that I do not bake well. I know they are possibly the easiest deserts to bake! That is until now. (However, I still need to master the muffins!)

This is a Donna Hay recipe and I decided that it was going to be my last attempt at making brownies. If one of her recipes didn’t work I was happy to let others make brownies for me!

Well I have to say it was a success and so delicious!

I baked them for my lovely scrapbooking ladies and they all wanted a copy of the recipe. So here it is…

Chocolate Brownie -The Creative Mummy

CLASSIC BROWNIE

Recipe from Donna Hay

400g dark chocolate, chopped

280g butter

2 cups (350g) brown sugar

6 eggs

1 cup (150g) plain flour

1 Preheat oven to 180C.

2 Place half the chocolate and butter in a small saucepan over low heat and stir until melted and smooth. Allow to cool slightly.

3 Place the sugar, eggs and flour in a bowl with the chocolate mixture and mix to combine.

4 Stir through the remaining chocolate pieces and pour the mixture into a lightly greased 20cm x 30cm tin lined with non-stick baking paper. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until cooked when tested with a skewer. Allow to cool in tin and cut into squares.
