Photo a Day Challenge!

For those of you who follow The Creative Mummy on Facebook you would know that I have decided to take part in the Fat Mum Slim Photo-a-Day Challenge. So what is this challenge all about? Each month Fat Mum Slim reveals a list of daily prompts. All you have to do is use any camera you have and take a photo using the daily prompt as inspiration. For example if the day one prompt is ‘peace’, just take a photo of something that represents peace to you.  Below is this months prompts.

I am really having a lot of fun with it and it has inspired me to be more creative in a different way! I even get the kids involved. On day 8 – Something beginning with ‘T’ I had Layla and Oscar walk around the house with my iPhone finding lots of different things that begin with ‘T’ it was great! However, Oscar did ask “what for?” and once I explained the Photo-a-day Challenge his response was “So what do you win Mum” Hehehe!

Once I’ve taken the photo I share it on my Facebook page or on Instagram or Twitter. Fat Mum Slim has a Facebook group page or you can search for the #FMSphotoaday hashtag. This allows you to check out other people’s photos too.

I have also decided to take it one step further. I am going to create a Digital Storybook it will be a weekly wrap up or college of the photos I take throughout the challenge. Here is my first week photo college.

The Creative Mummy - Photo College

I have used the Creative Memories Storybook Creator software program. This layout is from the pre-designed Cheerful Kit.

So why not join me in the challenge!
