A few weeks ago we celebrated my Dad’s 60th birthday party. Like I’ve said before I learnt from the best – my mum put on an amazing champagne breakfast to say the least. I helped Mum with the preparations and we decided to go with a black and white colour theme. Mum went off on her own tangent and bought the most amazing cake stands, candy jars, drink dispenses, mirrored place mats and other little finishing touches. It looked fantastic.
We made a collection of black, white and silver tissue paper pom poms and hung them above the food table.
White tablecloths with a black table runner.
For table centres we grouped three glass bottles together and wrapped them with a strip of black and white patterned paper and tied a piece of raffia around them. To finish them off we added the white flowers (not sure what their called).
The Food Table
Candy jars were filled with Licorice & Chiccos and Cool mints & Milk bottles.
Homemade Macaroons – yum!
Yoghurt Museli Cups
We tied a spoon to each cereal box.
All juices and milks were clearly labelled with chalkboard labels.
My Mum loves her chocolate fondue – it makes an appearance at all her parties!
To jazz up the champagne glasses we tied a small piece of raffia at the foot of each glass.
Well the champagne was flowing and there was a great buzz around the place.
My gorgeous parents!

Happy 60th Birthday Dad!
We hope it was everything you imagined it to be and more.
Love you lots
