This week has been one of my hardest weeks. I have been hearing about this horrible Flu that has been sweeping through Perth but I was hoping that we had missed it. Well I was wrong. Oscar wasn’t flash on Saturday and by Sunday night it had hit him in full force. My poor boy!
Dave and I decided that we would bed swap. I would sleep in Oscar’s bed and Oscar would sleep with Dave in our bed. I had another crazy busy week and was ment to be working at the Kindy for three days. So I was praying that I wouldn’t get the flu too.
But by Tuesday night I was no good to anyone and neither was Layla or Molly. We were all sick expect for Dave. I dragged myself to bed and slept most of Wednesday and Thursday. Dave floated in and out during meetings and appointments to take care of us. He was amazing! When Dave was gone I would move from the bed to the couch so I could be with the kids, however as they were also sick to they ALL wanted to be cuddled and comforted. So there I was on the couch with three kids lying next to me or on top of me. Yes this was me resting!!!
By Thursday afternoon I was slowly moving around the house to try and get some order back! (haha) the house was a disaster zone! Oscar was well enough to go back to school, Layla is slowly on the mend and Molly just seems to have a little bit of a runny nose. We are getting there. Oh but now Dave has got our flu! Yes the ‘Man Flu’.
My crazy busy week has been turned into a sick miserable week. Not only did I have to cancel work, I’ve also cancelled my scrapbooking Scrapathon for tomorrow. But I have to thank my sister for cooking us dinner, my mum for dropping us off some food and my in-laws bringing us some supplies. I couldn’t have done it without them! It was also lovely receiving lots of messages and phone calls from friends asking if we needed anything. I feel very special to have these people in our lives.
My poor little possums!
